XRNP HV HRC Current Limiting Fuses are mainly used in 50Hz high voltage circuits for Transformer Protection. They are rated at 3.6 to 40.5kV up to currents of 6.3A and protect against overload and short circuit situations. They conform to IEC282-1, BS and GB15166.2.
The XRNP HV HRC Current Limiting Fuses are normally mounted as an insert. The fuse link is sealed within the fuse tube with chemically treated high purity quartz and is surrounded by a high duty ceramic or epoxy glass. When a fault occurs, the fuse link melts causing an arc which is extinguished via the quartz sand and opening the circuit.
