As part of our integrated offer, NEPEAN Power designs and manufactures world class custom built, Prefabricated Switchgear / Control & Protection Buildings for a wide range of industry applications including, power generation, transmission, distribution and storage, data centres, transport, manufacturing facilities and more. NEPEAN Power’s extensive knowledge and experience in building switchrooms allows for adaptation to suit specifications from our customers.
Our custom switchrooms are designed and built to be functional, durable and timesaving on-site, as special attention is given to the ease of installation after delivery to site. In addition, the switchrooms are built to comply with the relevant building codes and standards, including Fire Rating if required.
A standard switchroom features a galvanised steel framed wall construction with custom fabricated bases (painted or hot-dipped galvanised), to suit NEPEAN switchgear / panels, or free-issued components. The walls and roof are lined with Colorbond® sheeting that can be supplied in a range of colours to suit customer requirements. Insulation and fire-retardant sarking are fitted to the wall and roof cavities.
NEPEAN Power can design & install air-conditioning to maintain temperature & low humidity inside the switchroom + a Fire Protection and / or Suppression System to protect this critical asset. NEPEAN Power will supply, interconnect & function test the Switchgear / MCCs or Control & Protection Panels to suit, to provide a turn-key substation solution, ready to connect seamlessly into your site installation.
