The HSB is an electrical protection barrier designed for operation in underground coal mining applications. The HSB is used to provide isolations for HLO (X0510) and HFC (X0511) relays approved for use in hazardous areas. This barrier limits the amount of energy allowed to pass into the hazardous area, which inhibit ignition in flammable atmospheres.
